Mugs & Mallows Visit 2 – Blaine House

What joy it always brings us to be joined by incredible volunteers from our community to spread love and joy to those who need it! Such a beautiful morning shared with the nearly 30 residents at Blaine House – Centenary Homes. The smallest act of kindness, chatter and laughter shared over a cup of tea and cake, brought such sunshine to these gentlemen today! A special thank you to the volunteers that joined us today and to everyone who donated towards our #MugsAndMallows2018 campaign. They were absolutely delighted with their new mugs filled up with easter eggs, and not only for this treat. These gents live on approximately R300 left from their disability aid, and the time shared is  priceless! A touching parting quote from one old gent, “Sometimes you sit in your room alone and wonder if the world even knows you are there, or if anyone cares. Then a group of people like you show up with such love and it’s an answer to our prayers. Thank you.”
