Intentional Acts of Kindness – Divide & Serve
Thanks to an EXTREMELY generous donation of Good Morning breakfast biscuits. This first week of March has had an intentionally ‘random acts’ kind of start as our chairlady, Cindy Norcott, and our committee’s view is “food in tummies, not in storage”. Our week began with a visit to 1,000 Hills Community Centre to bless nearly 300 Gogos and over 300 children on Monday. Then today, an AWESOME team of volunteers joined us at storage where we worked together to ‘Divide & Serve’. Some of the beautiful community hearts stayed behind to sort and pack for our #MahalaMarket2018, and others went out into the community to revisit and serve some of the elderly and children we’ve visited before with prior projects, which resulted in nearly 700 children and over 100 elderly folk being blessed just one day as our teams visited Flame Lily, Ethelbert Home, Siyathuthuka Creche, Siyamunaka Educare, Sifikile Creche, Sinothando Creche, J Ndwalane Pre-School, Marian Ridge Primary School. What a special day of sharing laughter, creating happiness and spreading joy into our community! A great reminder of quote by Helen Keller, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”
