Buy-A-Brick 2018: Lalelani Primary uplift final update 2018
Dear Friends and Sponsors of The Robin Hood Foundation,
We are so excited to attach our final update from our Buy-a-Brick campaign to uplift Lalelani Primary School for 2018. Please scroll to page 12 to see the latest happenings from site over the past few months since last update and thank you for following and support our Journey for this vision!
The old African Proverb “It takes a village to raise a child” has been so apparent throughout this campaign and each time we visit the school, to see the children enjoying all the new facilities, ready, eager and excited to learn – not just academics, but physical education, computer literacy – beautiful to see what we kind of an impact we can make when we stand together. What an incredible project, with amazing results!
On behalf of our Chairlady, Cindy Norcott, Trustees Pat Horrmann and Liesl Kriegisch and our Committee, our most humble thanks to each and every one of you that has played such a massive part in making a sustainable difference to this school and in return the lives of the young learners that attend and will attend for years to come.
Says Principal Mathe, “We are so grateful for the level of support and investment in our school for our Learners, they come in each day with a renewed sense of purpose and hope and an excitement to learn! Enrolments are up and we even have a list of children from outside the immediate community want to enrol at our school. Our thanks could just never be enough for the support we have received, this has and is changing the lives of our students”
If you’d like to find out a bit more about our 2019 plans for the school, please don’t hesitate to get in touch – we have some exciting ideas that include:
- Phase II – Upliftment of old Ablution block and possible other areas to address
- “Geek Week” – an interactive educational
But for now, THANK YOU for your absolutely astounding support!
Best Regards,
Kim
