Bless-a-Granny & Grandpa visits TAFTA Park Bellair 21.12.17

With only 5 days til Christmas we are definitely feeling the Christmas spirit as we continue to share love and joy with the elderly in our community, taking them YOUR gifts and blessings <3 What a SPECIAL and fun-filled visit to TAFTA Park Bellair this morning <3 Joined by a beautiful team of community hearts and kicking of the morning with some tasty tea time treats and the contagious joy and energy that Rene Tshiakanyi brings with his gift of musical talent – there was not one face in the room that wasn’t lit up with happiness! One of things we noticed again about today’s visit – the smiles – these volunteers serving with such pure hearts, the elderly so enjoying the special treatment, the children LOVING giving out cuddles with the gifts! Happiness <3 As one of our volunteer’s said, “it’s just contagious!”. Our Chairlady, Cindy Norcott’s vision for Bless a Granny & Grandpa has always been about blessing the elderly with time and love and making the morning one to remember, definitely achieved that again today thanks to the incredible community support! Our heartfelt thanks to each and every single person that pledged gifts for these wonderful old souls! They were just delighted and could not believe their beautiful, full gift bags and especially to Natalie Swales and her friends and colleagues that pledged over 40 gifts for this visit! Said Granny May who is 90 next year, “This has become one of my most favourite things to look forward too! Every year more and more volunteers join Robin Hood on the visits and make us feel so special! Thank you all so very much!”
